Project [AZUR]
Project [AZUR] is an image file format specification for the lossless compression and decompression of images that have a lot of repetitive colour. It is intended to be simple and easy to implement and to losslessly compress cell shaded images well. The whole specification is under 30 pages including sample code and is very readable. It has been implemented as an encoder in Project [SONICO] and Project [KASUMI], and as a decoder in Project [ILLUSTRIOUS].
