Importing A BMP

First, create a BMP file to be opened. This can be done in The GIMP. For example, I have scanned a drawing in at 300dpi, opened it in The GIMP, cropped it and scaled it, and then edited the canvas size to 3072 x 1728 pixels and centred the drawing.

Then using the terminal, open/create a Project [SONICO] file with the BMP opened to a layer:

This will open/create the drawing miku-1.soni with the BMP 0001.bmp copied to the chosen layer, in this case layer 1. In this case it replaces the layer contents with the contents of the BMP. You can also use -l2 for layer 2, -l3 for layer 3 and so on.
